In September 2018, we are launching the first edition of our ezine, Muna Kalati Mag, an online magazine and promotional platforms for writers, publishers and illustrators of children's and Young Adult books, as well as librarians, teachers, editors, publicists and parents. It contains valuable information on African and international publishing markets, opportunities competitions, courses, conferences and festivals, along with interviews with industry professionals, writing tips and special features where creators share the story of their path to publication. Book reviews, resources and select articles are available on this website. Throughout the year, Muna Kalati works in partnership with authors, illustrators, publishers, booksellers and other organizations in the children’s book world to bring words, images and stories into the hearts and minds of children and adults. African children’s literature enriches our continent and reaches children across the world through international editions. Our Vision is to be the premier voice on literature for young African and to inform, promote critical debate, foster creative responses, and engage with and encourage African authors and illustrators to produce quality literature.
